Mark has been an avid VW Enthusiast for over fifteen years and says this is the best move he’s ever made! Hailing from the Motor Trade some ten years ago, his background in sales helped the company move forward from Campervan Hire to Sales and Restorations. Immediately prior to establishing the business, Mark was a Police Officer for eight years working for Cumbria Constabulary. Both backgrounds have helped him push the company forward to becoming the largest VW Specialists in the North West UK.
Second in command, Phil is the company’s Foreman and has overall responsibility for the working quality of our projects. His experience enables our workmanship to be of great quality. With over twenty years in the Motor Industry, Phil began his career restoring Classic Landrovers which also led him to become a trained Mechanic.
Panel Beater & Fabricator
Stuart has to be our most enthusiastic team member and a keen VW enthusiast. Stuart has over ten years experience in the Bodywork Industry and is capable of achieving a great finish. Responsible for customer restorations and in house Sales projects, Stuart often has Vw projects on the go at home too!
Panel Beater & Assistant Fabricator
A great ‘can do’ attitude Joe is our most ‘boyant’ team member. He has over Seven years experience in the Bodywork Industry, enabling his work to be of a great standard. Joe is responsible for customer restorations and in house Sales projects, with a keen eye for vehicle spraying and finishing.
With a wealth of experience with over 30 years in the fashion industry we are very pleased to have David within our Team. Responsible for all of our interior workmanship, from Vinyl work to Pop Top Canvases. A previous Quality controller for Marks and Spencer in Japan, David has a keen eye for quality and his work certainly echos this.
Certainly adding a different dynamic to the Team here at Morecambe and Wize, is the ‘Sunflower’ Apprentice Kieran. Undergoing his Apprenticeship, he has shown great talent for all things Welding. From Mig to Tig, he shows a high level of competence in these areas and we are very happy to have him on board! With several of our Campervans already under his belt, he is learning extremely well!
Thomas Ritson / Product Development – With a lifetime of textile and artistic craftsmanship behind him, Thomas has come from a background of Bespoke tailoring on Saville Row, London. Putting all his talents to great use, he is our design and implementation planner for all interior workmanship. From designs, to physical products, we are pleased to have him on board assisting with our continuous product development.
Joining the team in 2015, Daniel is one of our fully qualified mechanics. Coming from a modern car background, Daniel is able to turn his experience to the classic era and make positive changes to our Option Camper vans with confidence. With 10 years experience he is a trusted mechanic who really knows his stuff!
A fully qualified NVQ level 3 Panel Beater, Ricky has a steady and progressive work mentality, with exacting standards and attention to detail. His previous 6 years Body shop experience has stood him in good sted and he enjoys the mucky part of the process very much!
